Amal Clooney
Amal Alamuddin was born Beirut. The name she was given was the Arabic name'ml amal, meaning "hope". The family of her parents left Lebanon when she was two years old, in the Lebanese Civil War, and settled in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. Ramzi Alamuddin is a Lebanese Druze who is from Baakline which is a village located in the Chouf District of the Alam al-Din dynasty. He graduated with an MBA from Beirut's American University of Beirut. He returned in 1991 [12] to Lebanon following the civil war that had came to an end. Her mother, Baria (nee Miknass), was born to a family of Sunni Muslims in Tripoli in Northern Lebanon,[14][11] and a Palestinian-Jordanian[15] mother. Her title was foreign editor for al-Hayat an Arabic-language newspaper published by Saudi Arabia. She established the public relations firm International Communication Experts. This firm is part of an even larger firm which specializes in arranging celebrities, publicity photography and events. Amal has the eldest of 3 children that include a half-sister (Tala) along with two siblings from Amal's father's prior marriage. Amal was a student at Dr Challoner High School (a girls grammar school in Little Chalfont Buckinghamshire) before she went to the University. She then attended St Hugh's College at Oxford and, among others was awarded the Shrigley Award and an exhibition grant. The degree she received was the degree of bachelor of Arts in Judiciary (BA) in the year 2000. Then she enrolled in New York University School of Law in order to earn a Master of Laws degree (LL.M). The Jack J. Katz Memorial Award was presented for her excelling in entertainment.
